About us
Built by people who needed this to exist
Wild Mind Well-Being CIC grew out of a simple observation: a lot of people fall through the gaps between services, and most of them do better outdoors, doing something useful, next to someone who isn't in a hurry.

Our story
Small, local and stubbornly practical
We started with a patch of land, a few animals and a conviction that well-being isn't something you're given in a fifty-minute appointment. It's built out of routine, purpose, and being known.
Today we run one-to-one mentoring, neurodivergent and recovery support, a Men's Shed, animal rescue and sanctuary work, and volunteering, all from the same place, with the same people.
We are not a clinical service. We work alongside GPs, social workers, schools and therapists rather than replacing them, and we'll always tell you honestly if what you need is somewhere else.

What a CIC means
A community interest company, and what that changes
A CIC is a business with a legal duty to serve its community. There are no shareholders taking a cut.
- Surpluses are reinvested into the work, mentoring hours, animal care, tools and materials.
- Assets are locked to community benefit, so what's built here stays here.
- Paid work (mentoring, corporate impact days, partnerships) subsidises the places we give away free.
- We report honestly on numbers and outcomes to funders and to the people we work with.
- Decisions are made by people who are on the land every week, not in a distant head office.
Important distinction
Wild Mind Well-Being CIC and Wild Minds Alternative Provision
Two organisations, related but separate. People mix them up, so here it is plainly.
Wild Mind Well-Being CIC
This organisation. A community interest company offering mentoring, neurodivergent and recovery support, Men's Shed, rescue and sanctuary work, volunteering and corporate social impact. Open to the wider community, self-referral welcome.
Wild Minds Alternative Provision
A separate organisation delivering commissioned education provision for young people out of mainstream school. Different remit, different funding, different point of contact. Enquiries about school placements should go there, not here.
